My client is a well respected operator within the private care sector. As a result of planned internal movement, a vacancy of a business development manager has been created.

The role would involve managing sales and marketing actitives across a number of sites within the area including: Milton Keynes, Bedford, and Hertfordshire.

The role would involve spending time in each of their locations throughout the week, conducting face to face and remote meetings as appropriate.

There will be an opportunity to work occasionally from home (once a week) where your meetings allow. Expect a minum of 3-4 days a week working on site.

The role is classed as 'field-based' so you will need access to a vehicle to do this role, but you will be able to expense all fuel expensed from your house (very useful with current fuel prices)

You'll be joining a capable and well connected sales team who have moved into the sector from various sectors, both inside and outside of the industry.

Typical day to day activities will include:

- Meeting new clients and families in-person on site, and manage their enquiries
- Developing new external links into the local business and public sector contacts - this can include meetings, events, pitching for business,
- Managing local sales and marketing activities such as presence at events, networking groups
- Managing key existing relationships with warm contacts and referral sources
- Assist in managing social media activities for local groups and sites

This role is idea if you like a mix of business development, meeting clients and want a to be able to work across various sites. It allows you to plan your own diary and work with relavtive autonomy.
