Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants needed in Newcastle Upon Tyne - Supporting classrooms and child(ren) with SEND

We are currently working with a range of local SEND Schools in Newcastle Upon Tyne and are looking for passionate Teaching Assistants on a supply basis, this could be either day to day or long term, depending on school’s needs. The successful applicants will be working in various schools based on their travel abilities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support students with additional needs
- Work within other schools across Prosper Learning Trust
- Safeguarding and putting the students wellbeing first
- Assisting the Teacher with displaying students work
- Recording student progress
- Work within a small cover team
- Ensuring that Safeguarding and the welfare of the students are kept to a high standard.
- Supporting SENDco to ensure that the children’s needs are met and their targets are realistically set and followed depending on their learning ability

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Experience working with children within a SEND, PMLD school or environment over the last 2 years
- Enhanced DBS on the Update System (or willing to apply)
- Completed Cache qualifications or any other relevant training working with children from the ages of 3 to 19 is preferable but not essential
