Neighbourhood Front of House Staff Member Job Description

Location: Riverside, Cardiff

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour

Hours: 15 - 20 hours per week

Neighbourhood is an established street food restaurant and guest house located in Riverside, Cardiff. The restaurant hosts guest chefs and traders with pop-up concepts alongside our own in-house team creating street food style menus for customers on a rotating basis.

No two weeks are the same We pair a new cocktail menu with the food offerings and work with a huge variety of talented chefs to create enjoyable and lasting experiences for our customers. Above the restaurant are a trio of boutique bedrooms which sleep up to 13 people. With it’s close proximity to the city centre we are often fully booked with guests arriving to enjoy Cardiff.

We are looking for an organised, trustworthy and outgoing individual with previous hospitality and front of house experience to join our small team. Front of house staff have the responsibilities of meeting and greeting guests, waiting tables, conveying requests to the kitchen and checking guests in and out of the rooms.

To be successful as front of house staff, you should be outgoing, personable, and have the ability to think on your feet whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service and satisfaction.

Front of House Staff Responsibilities:
Receiving and confirming walk-in, telephone and online reservations

Seating and hosting customers at their tables

Mixing and pouring beverages to specification and on request

Product knowledge of menus and beverages stocked by the venue

Checking guests in and out of the rooms upstairs

Front of House Requirements:
Previous experience in a front of house hospitality role required

Cocktail experience preferred

Excellent verbal communication and memorisation skills

Great interpersonal and teamwork skills

Ability to remain composed

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Willingness to perform additional duties to facilitate the restaurant's operations, as needed

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £10.50 per hour
