The above part time (0.2 FTE) post is available immediately in Clinical Education Development and Research (CEDAR), Psychology, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences on a fixed term contract until July 2027.
**The role**
**Specific Purposes of the Job**:
- Support the Academic Lead with the development and delivery of the timetable in line with the curriculum in specified area
- Contribute to the assessment strategy including module descriptors, marking process in defined area in line with TQA
- Contribute to Accreditation / registration submissions as needed within area
- Support recruitment alongside the Academic and Programme Lead
- Provide teaching in defined area as needed
- Provide individual tutorials to students
**About you**
For a Lecturer post you will:
- Possess a depth or breadth of specialist knowledge demonstrated by a doctorate level training or the necessary equivalent of the core knowledge relating to the academic area in order to teach and support learning.
- Possess a good honours degree in Psychology or a related discipline (at least a 2:1 or equivalent)
- Use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students;
- Participate in and develop external networks, for example, to contribute to student recruitment, secure student placements, facilitate outreach work, generate income, obtain consultancy projects, or build relationships for future activities;
- Will have evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review and have made an impact at discipline programme level beyond their own teaching;
- Be expected to work towards Fellow of the HEA status and to attend formal CPD relating to this.
