To be considered for this role, you must have relevant qualifications and experience in Plumbing and Domestic Heating. Additionally, you should be able to demonstrate experience in delivering high-quality teaching and assessment. **Levelling up premium payments for FE teachers**
Attention all eligible FE teachers Are you looking to level up your career and earn more while teaching specific courses? You may be eligible to claim a levelling-up premium payment for teaching courses in building and construction, chemistry, computing, early years, engineering and manufacturing, maths, and physics. The payment ranges from £2,000 to £6,000 depending on your provider and the number of hours you teach. If you’re in your first 5 years of teaching in FE and spend at least half of your hours teaching eligible FE courses at level 3 or below, you may be eligible. **Key Responsibilities**:
- Deliver and assess competence-based training including group or classroom-based sessions, in the workplace or College environment.
- Set, mark, and assess students’ work, ensuring that learning outcomes have been met and that feedback is both detailed and constructive.
- Use technology, including the college’s virtual learning environment, effectively to enable independent learning at any time or place.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the development of self and others and to ensure the continuous improvement of performance.
- Provide a point of contact for student welfare issues referring problems on where they are complex or serious, communicating poor patterns of attendance and punctuality to co-ordinators.
**Requirements**:
- Experience in delivering high quality teaching/assessment and learning on Plumbing and Domestic Heating Apprenticeships.
- Relevant qualifications in Plumbing and Domestic Heating.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, or equivalent packages.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in order to deliver individual and team objectives.
- Desirable to have own vehicle with business insurance or willingness to get this to support the role and required assessments.
