This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed and disciplined practitioner to provide research support for patients, staff and researchers within the hospital. You will be working as part of the Chronic Research Team, primarily working on gastroenterology studies, within the Research and Development department. You will need to demonstrate the ability to organise, prioritise and adjust your workload in relation to requirements of a range of studies. The post holder must demonstrate the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with medical staff and clinical teams. There will be a requirement to work within a wide range of specialties and therefore this role requires a degree of flexibility, confidence and self-motivation. The post involves face-to-face patient contact as well as data collection and handling, therefore experience of computer systems and packages would be beneficial. This will be done under the supervision of the Research Nurses and Officers. Research experience is not necessary as full training will be given but used to dealing with patients is essential.
