**Clinical/Community Pharmacist**

We will consider a Clinical Pharmacist who could also work as a Community Pharmacist in the Downland Services Limited Pharmacy.This could be appealing to someone already working as a community pharmacist who would like to start a new challenge as a clinicalpharmacist whilst maintaining their community pharmacy skill set.

The Clinical Pharmacist will need to have excellent interpersonal/communication skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

**Role Requirements**
- GPhC Registered Pharmacist.
- GPhC Independent Prescriber Qualification.
- Minor Ailments certification would be desirable.
- Medicines Management Qualification would be desirable.
- Minimum of two years working as a pharmacist.
- Experience in managing pharmacy services in primary care.
- Broad knowledge of General Practice.
- Flexibility to work outside of core office hours.
- Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Sensitive and empathetic in distressing situations.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Able to cope in a busy and demanding environment.

**Role Responsibilities (not limited to)**
- To contribute to improve health outcomes in long term conditions as a member of the multidisciplinary primary care team.
- To provide specialist knowledge and advice on pharmaceutical matters, including cost-effective prescribing and clinical guidelines for disease treatment, and to also provide evidence-based education and training for colleagues in partnership with the practice.
- To practice as an independent prescriber, holding face to face consultations.
- To provide advice and support for patients with self-limiting conditions.
- To work to improve communication about medication-related issues between the practice and other care providers.
- To lead on implementation of safe and efficient repeat prescribing systems.
- To provide support for day to day prescribing queries and repeat prescribing.
- To help cover the Downland Pharmacy as a Pharmacist during planned and unplanned absences.
