**Overview**
- We are recruiting for a new addition to form part of the Grounds Maintenance Team responsible for achieving high standards for the maintenance of a variety of sites across Southend and Basildon area.- The role will include liaising with customers and completing all aspects of grounds maintenance on-site visits on either weekly, or fortnightly visits, either lone working or working in a team, depending on season or workload._

**_What you'll be doing..._**
- _Supporting the Operations Manager to ensure that excellent delivery of services on the rounds for which you are responsible, leaving the sites well-presented._
- _Acting in a professional manner at all times, ensuring you are on time, communicating_ appropriately and demonstrating the correct use of machinery and following the H&S procedures.
- _Continually looking for innovative solutions to improve systems of work._

Duties to include;_**
- _Mowing grass areas
- _Strimming
- _Pruning shrubs and hedges with mechanical and hand-operated equipment.
- _Minor tree works
- _Weeding
- _Leaf collecting
- _Edging
- _Digging/forking of beds and borders
- _Deadheading of flowers
- _Cutting back of Herbaceous Borders
- _Scarifying
- _Planting new areas
- _Soil preparation
- _Turfing
- _Fertiliser spreading_

What we're looking for......_**
- We are looking for a team player, with a proactive work ethic and the ability to get the job done_

**_Essential_**
- _Previous grounds experience
- _Full UK driving license
- _B+E license
- _PA1 and PA6_

**_Desirable_**
- _CS30 / CS31
- _Basic Health & Safety Certificate_
