Konker is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join an award-winning Project & Building Consultancy based in central Preston.
This Building Consultancy has multiple offices in the North West, and they are seeking further staff to join their Preston office.
As a practice, they are known for being dynamic and ambitious and this is evident from their plans over the next three years to grow by 100%. To their clients, they have a reputation for delivering projects locally and nationally in sectors such as retail,landlords, developers, housing, and industrial.
They employ 40 professionals in their Preston, Manchester, and newly opened Liverpool office. What makes them stand out from their competitors is the ongoing focus on sustainability and energy performance for all projects.
From the moment you join the company, you will be put into their practice academy, giving you ongoing mentoring/support with the focus of helping you achieve your Chartership.

To be considered for this position you will need to be based within a commutable distance of Preston and have experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a building consultancy.
The Role: Quantity Surveyor
- Prepare tender documentation, schedules, cost plans, and cost estimates
- Working on a wide variety of schemes - assisting, offering input and support when appropriate
- Reporting to Senior Managers
- Assist Senior Managers on NEC and JCT contacts, interim valuations, and final accounts with contractors
- Work through the APC process working towards Chartership
- Clear progression routes - from day one of entering the business you will be put into the 'practice academy' with a focus on becoming Chartered
- Yearly target bonus - between £3K-£5K (doe) visible all year
