Here at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust we are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Cardiac Physiologist to join our team.
You will acquire both practical and theoretical knowledge to carry out basic cardiac investigations by undertaking an apprenticeship in Cardiac Physiology.
In House training with be provided in the basic cardiac diagnostics and Senior Physiologists will undertake assessments of individuals to assess competency as determined by the BSc Clinical Physiology programme, all with appropriate supervision & training.
You will acquire both practical and theoretical knowledge to carry out basic cardiac investigations, participating in the day-to-day operation of the department, including participating and training in 12 lead Electrocardiograms, 24-hour Holter monitors, 7-day cardiac monitors, Sleep Studies, Alivecor Monitors and 24-hour blood pressure monitors.
You will need to ensure that accurate records of activity are kept for each test as required by the Principal Cardiac Physiologist andmay be required to assist in the dressing and undressing of patients.
In the course of your duties, you may also be required to work at any of the sites within the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust areas.
