We are seeking a passionate and creative Junior Baker to join our team. As a Junior Baker, you will assist in the preparation and production of a variety of baked goods, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and taste. You will work under the guidance of experienced bakers, learning valuable skills and techniques that will help you to further develop your career.

**Responsibilities**:

- Confirm requirements for special orders with senior colleagues
- Comply with daily and weekly production schedule
- Mix, shape and bake sourdough and yeasted products
- Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters
- Monitor baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection
- Set up bread display shelves ready for sale including signage and inform front of house staff about the products available
- Daily and deep cleaning, and record keeping
- Notify senior colleagues in section when stock ordering is necessary
- Maintain personal compliance with the HACCP plan in relation to food hygiene, food storage, preparation, handling, temperature monitoring and contamination prevention.
- Respond to enquiries about allergens providing detailed and accurate information.
- Ensure allergen process is strictly adhered to.
- Wear appropriate attire and ensure personal hygiene standards are met as stated in the Staff Handbook

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a professional kitchen or bakery is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Familiarity with baking equipment and techniques
- Understanding of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to follow recipes accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
