**Marketing Assistant**

Full Time: Full Time (35 hours per week over 5 days )

We are looking for a Marketing and Events Assistant to join our Marketing and Business Development team.

Our Marketing team are an essential part of giving STEP life, making connections with our audiences, and driving growth through sales-driven campaigns. As Marketing and Events Assistant, you'll be responsible for planning and coordinating events to deliver exceptional experiences for our attendees and supporting the administration of strategic marketing campaigns.

**About STEP**
STEP has been supporting businesses for over four decades. When we started in 1983, we wanted to build more than just an office block, business park or commercial property. We wanted to build a community of businesses where companies could start, grow, and lean on each other in a supportive environment.

Today we support 3,000 businesses on average per year and manage over 200 spaces across five sites.

All our profits are invested back into business support activities and delivering services that have a positive impact on the local economy.

On behalf of the Scottish Government, we deliver the contract for Business Gateway services across Stirling and contract for other public-funded contracts when relevant.

**What you’ll do at STEP**

As Marketing and Events Assistant, you will your core will focus will be on event planning and delivery. You will also support work across a range of marketing disciplines including Branding, Digital Marketing, Communications and more.

**Events**
- Event Planning and Coordination:

- Collaborate with the marketing team to define event goals, themes, and target audiences.
- Plan and coordinate logistics, including venue selection, catering, equipment, and materials.
- Liaise with speakers, hosts, sponsors, and partners to ensure participation and provide information.
- Create event timelines, production schedules, and run sheets.
- Event Promotion:

- Manage event registrations and attendee communication using platforms like Eventbrite and CRM systems.
- Event Preparation:

- Prepare event materials such as agendas, badges, and presentations.
- Coordinate with venues to ensure setup, AV equipment, and catering meet requirements.
- Onsite Event Management:

- Handle check-in, registration, and attendee assistance.
- Facilitate event programs, introductions, Q&A sessions, and speaker presentations.
- Post-Event Activities:

- Gather feedback from attendees, speakers, and partners for improvement.
- Assist with reporting, data analysis, and survey distribution.
- Budget Management:

- Maintain event budgets, track expenses, and reconcile invoices.
- Innovative Event Strategies:

- Recommend creative event formats, themes, and engagement strategies.
- Research potential speakers, partners, and sponsors for future events.

**Branding and Marketing**
- Support management of social media channels to drive leads and brand awareness.
- Maintain the brand standards ensuring compliance in all promotional material, written documentation and online resources throughout the business.
- Be a vital part of delivering the overall business goals.
- Support management of company Google Pay Per Click AdWords accounts.
- Support management of company websites, update, and maintain where needed.
- Maintain marketing database, stakeholders, and relevant lists on Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Maintain and manage any company listings.
- Support Business Gateway National with marketing duties such as creating adverts for the local press.
- Creation of company-branded content/collateral and assisting in the creation of branded adverts for local businesses when required.

**Communications**
- Assist in all communications to database and stakeholders.
- Support in writing content for TALK, a business magazine.
- Create PR topics, write releases and liaise with local/national media.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to develop, write, and strategically release case studies to raise product awareness.
- Develop and manage regular consumer, stakeholder, and internal surveys.

**Where you’ll work**

This role allows for a blended approach to your working environment. You will be required to work a minimum of three days (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays) from STEP's Stirling Enterprise Park location.
