Sport 4 Life UK is here to help young people (aged 11-29) move into sustained education, training and work. We believe in giving young people the opportunity to create a better future for themselves.

We are looking for a passionate individual, who can coordinate, plan and deliver our qualifications service for disadvantaged young people and line manage a group of sessional staff to deliver the service to a high standard.

Our qualifications service is an essential part of our support to young people to help them build a better future for themselves. The service includes Sports Leaders, Functional Skills (English and Maths) and online qualifications.

The Education Coordinator will ensure the service is high quality and well organised, that young people’s experience is positive and that impact and evaluation data is recorded.

**Job description**

The Education Coordinator will:

- Manage our qualifications service including developing our qualifications offer, monitoring & evaluation, logistics & staffing and session planning.
- Plan and deliver accredited and non-accredited qualifications and the delivery of a variety of online qualifications.
- Line manage a team of sessional Qualifications Tutors to support the delivery of qualifications.
- Support the recruitment of target young people into our service.
- Support young people on our service through regular communication, adapting to different learning styles & abilities and ensuring they have onward support.

**Essential & Desirable Criteria**

Essential:

- Evidence of CPD in youth education sector
- A relevant Level 3 qualification, i.e. in Learning & Development
- Qualified tutor status
- Recruiting hard to reach young people
- Delivery of accredited qualifications
- Experience of delivering sports activities
- 1+ year of working with 12-29 year old in learning and NEET young people
- An infectious passion, enthusiasm & charisma
- Excellent organisation skills
- A fully enhanced DBS disclosure
- Ability and confidence to work alone
- Previous experience line managing staff

Desirable:

- A relevant degree in sports coaching and/ or youth education
- A relevant Level 4 qualification
- i.e. in Learning & Development
- Sports Leaders UK Tutor Training
- Qualified teacher status
- Managing a caseload of young people
- Recruiting young people to youth programmes
- Delivery of Sports Leaders UK qualifications
- High levels of self-motivation, energy and determination
- A polite, professional appearance & manner
- Evidence of commitment to S4L’s vision
- An interest in and passion for sport

**Salary**: £24,500.00-£27,000.00 per year
