**The Post**

The College is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated Head of Department to lead and manage the highly successful Vocational Business Department.

The post is available from 26 August 2025 on a permanent, full-time basis.

Our ideal person will be able to demonstrate a track record of success in delivering the highest standards and achieving outstanding results.

The post would equally suit an experienced Head of Department or a teacher looking for their first management role.

**The Department**

The Department is housed in the Business Centre. The team consists of 15 other members of teaching staff who work in a collaborative style, contributing to central teaching resources. Students regularly progress onto university courses for Business, Accountancy, Marketing, Finance and Events Management, as well as apprenticeships.

**Courses**

The Department offers the following courses:

- BTEC Level 3 Business

The Department operates a number of ‘Plus’ classes, designed to improve student performance within the timetabled periods.

**Salary**

The salary for this post is **up to £56,585 per annum**.

The full-time teaching contract is 21 hours per week. Heads of Department received two periods of remission (2 x 60 minutes) for their responsibility. New Heads of Department receive an additional two periods of remission during their first year as part of the College’s induction programme to provide them with extra support in their role.
