To work with the team lead to develop and co-ordinate the Dietetic services to meet the current clinical needs of the population in the Gateshead region. To use dietetic knowledge and expertise to provide appropriate dietary advice to patients, carers and staff contributing to patient care. To work closely with the wider clinical teams to provide nutritional support on site at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and in the community. To provide outpatient care in primary, secondary and tertiary settings across the Gateshead region: including hospital, health centres and patients own home/ residence.

To provide continuing community support, social and clinical care for all referred patients. To provide education and training for nursing and non-nursing staff to ensure clinical effectiveness.To participate in audit, monitoring, evaluation and development of the dietetic services. To support multi-agency initiatives in the community with regards to health promotion for the population.
