Quality Engineer will:

- Take ownership of the quality of schemes from the pre-project phase, through the manufacturing lifecycle, site delivery and installation up to the point of handover to the customer.
- Actively participate in the resolution of non-conformances, using information collected from Operational teams and conducting problem-solving using statistical and analytical techniques to develop robust solutions and prevent recurrence
- Demonstrating a passion and enthusiasm for product and process quality, the Quality Engineer will drive quality compliance and improvement by defining the methods used to measure products and process key quality characteristics.

This role will include working on site as well as at the Head Office in near Knaresborough.

**Quality Engineer Experience**:

- Background in quality engineering / quality management
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering or construction environment
- Auditing to standards

**Quality Engineer Primary Responsibilities**:

- Work with Operational teams to identify, investigate and resolve non-conformances
- Act with authority holding the business accountable to quality requirements and verify requirements are being met
- Coach, inspire and engage employees for growth and high performance to produce the highest level of quality
- Support the achievement and maintenance of external accreditation & certification
- Ensure that identified improvements are executed in accordance with the control process
- Tasked with the provision of data to feed quality metrics and, in collaboration with other stakeholders, drive continuous improvement processes
- Participate in the adoption of Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) techniques, including risk-assessment, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Standard work and Process Control Plans (PCP) including inspections
- Undertake site visits to review issues encountered in the delivery and installation phases
- Assure quality readiness through the development cycle of new products, their launch, production process and installation. This will include defining Quality Standards and Records
- Support the adoption of digital solutions to improve efficiency within the organisation
- Work closely with warranty providers to ensure continued compliance with our System Manual
- Define and assure inspection checks for each element to assure that standard work to the design is being met

**Quality Engineer Qualifications & Training**:

- Engineering or technical degree level preferred relevant to Quality Engineer.
- Presentation skills
- Training skills
- Statistical data analysis
- Additional Preferred skills include: ISO and auditing experience, knowledge of quality planning tools & methodologies including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Problem solving skills, Six sigma or statisticalprocess control techniques, capability analysis and lean manufacturing philosophies, project management
