**Role Summary**

To carry out operational activities in the oil process area in a safe, efficient and productive manner.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Production of pfo at optimum levels at all times
- Constant analysis of the pfo to calculate the speeds through process
- Informing senior operative and/or shift manager if problems arise with oil process and ensuring all relevant paperwork is filed regarding breakdowns or faults etc.
- Monitoring pfo stocks and informing senior operative and/or shift manager if running low on pfo space to process
- Unloading and testing of waste oil and the segregation into appropriate tanks
- Obtaining samples, ensuring tested and results available before any unloading or segregation of waste oils
- Ensuring all paperwork for oil process is fully complete
- Ensuring waste oils are stored in the appropriate tanks and at acceptable quantity levels
- Running of water process and ensuring samples are forwarded to the lab
- Taking accountability for overall housekeeping and meeting cleanliness standards in the yard area
- Ensuring your PPE is worn at all times
- Carrying out any other tasks requested via senior operator, shift manager or operations manager to ensure all other areas of depot run efficiently

**Personal Specification**:

- Chemistry qualification beyond GCSE level
- Confined space trained

**Qualifications & Training**
- Educated to GCSE level, incl. Maths, English & Science (esp. chemistry) _(min. Grade 4, previously Grade C)_
- Chemistry qualification beyond GCSE level
- Confined space trained

**Experience**
- Waste management experience (particularly in oil)
- Mechanical experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
