We are currently supporting a leading organisation based in York who are looking for a HR Advisor to join their HR department.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary between £25,000 - £30,000. You will work 37.5hrs per week across 5 days, with a hybrid working model in place so you can work from home 3 days per week.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a HR Assistant/Coordinator with employee relations experience to progress into an Advisory role. It's also a brilliant opportunity for a HR Advisor who is looking to join leading organisation in the area.

You will work as part of a proactive, innovative, and responsive HR team to provide pragmatic, business focused HR advice, guidance, and support on day-to-day HR issues.

You'll work closely with the HR Business Partner and you will build relationships with managers and colleagues at all levels ensuring consistency and best practice.

**RESPONSIBILTIES**:

- Providing committed HR advice on HR issues such as disciplinary and grievance matters, conduct and capability and all employee relations.
- Management of casework including absence management.
- Guiding managers in performance management and colleague development.
- Monitoring, reviewing, and updating all HR policies and ensuring these are in line with the current legislation
- Developing and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with managers and colleagues, demonstrating professional credibility through ongoing and reliable communication.
- Act as the first point of contact for operational HR queries.
- Supervising the preparation and delivery of appropriate contractual documents regarding terminations, appointments, and employment variations.
- Advising managers on selection and recruitment issues, including creation of job descriptions, selection process, person specifications, and interview participation
- Ensure Human Resources matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements.
- Ensure a holistic and collaborative approach with departments throughout the business including Learning and Development, Business Support, and payroll.
- Deliver training on a range of HR matters to Managers and employees across the group.
- Occasional requirement to work outside of standard office hours and/or to travel across the UK to support business needs where required.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Knowledge of relevant HR policies and procedures
- Experience providing first line advise and support to managers on basic employee relation issues
- Knowledge of best practice
- Basic knowledge of Employment legislation
- Good judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with other team members
- Deadline focused
- Confident in working across all levels of the business
