At Summergil House, we offer a combined approach to care, education and in-house therapeutic support for Young People up to the age of 19 with Autism and other associated complex needs and are proud of our very unique location in Presteigne. We are based nextto the river that separates the Welsh and English border, with views of both countries at either side.
The home boasts an impressive 18 acres of luscious greenery and mountain views to support the well-being of the People we support.In your new role, no two days are ever the same. you can enjoy activities such as vegetable planting and den making in the garden,sensory activities such as instrumental play and teaching basic life skills such as cookery classes - all for the benefit of their future.

**About the Role**:
Your responsibilities will include ensuring the health, well-being and safety of our Young People, whilst taking on more of a professional, family member approach to Care. This is an inspiring but rewarding role, with some more challenging days than others.But, your support and encouragement will enrich the lives of our Young People to make a more positive future.
**A day in the life of a ResidentialChildren'sSupport Worker with Orbis Education and Care Involves**:
- Providing tailored support to our Young People whilst following Care plans and liaising with the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
- Assisting our Supported Individuals with day-to-day tasks and decision making.
- Promoting independence by supporting with a range of educational, social and work-based activities.
- Undertaking general housekeeping duties, plus elements of personal care.
- Maintaining accurate record keeping of all activities in accordance with CIW and regulatory organisations.
**To be a successful ResidentialChildren'sSupport Worker with Orbis Education and Care, you’ll need:**:

- The ability to build and maintain relationships effectively with our Young People, Managers and Multi Disciplinary Team
- The desire to make a difference in our Young People’s lives.

- Previous care experience preferred but not essential, full training will be provided with our fully comprehensive induction programme to prepare you on your journey.
**In return for your support to our Young People, you’ll receive:**:
- A competitive salary of £23,023 - £24,069.50 per hour based on 40.25 hours per week (days, nights, and weekends)
