Our asset management and investment planning team provide advisory services to a wide range of clients including utilities, regulators, multilateral and commercial lenders, government organisations and research bodies. We work in the water sector and with other infrastructure providers both in the UK and internationally.
Our team of experts work on a wide range of asset management and investment planning specialist areas, including:
- Water resource investment planning
- Wastewater and bioresources investment planning
- Strategic asset management and business planning
- Technical assurance of operational performance and business cases
- Carbon and net zero appraisal and strategic planning
- Integrated systems management
- Decision support tools
- Contract’s appraisal (NEC, PPP)
We are looking for motivated strategic thinkers, who want to generate the best possible outcomes for our clients, the environment and society, with an interest in developing their knowledge and experience through joining our existing team of technical experts.
- We are looking to grow our team in all areas and at all levels.
- Provide technical leadership in the team
- Manage and lead projects
- Mentor and develop junior staff
- Work with clients to develop additional work for the team
- Relevant engineering, economics, science, or other related degree
Experience/knowledge of the following areas:
- Familiarity with the concepts and tools highlighted through the WaterUK Leakage Routemap to 2050
- Project management, client liaison and consulting skills
- Experience in investment planning
- Experience in developing aspects of water company business plans
- Experience in developing business cases (e.g., following HM Treasury Green Book)
- Knowledge of the contents of statutory Water Resource Management Plans (WRMP) for UK Water Companies
- Understanding of the components that make up a water supply-demand balance and how these are estimated and forecast
- Experience in demand and leakage management
- Experience of undertaking options appraisal
- Experience of auditing and assurance
- Experience of using asset information
- Knowledge of carbon estimating and net-zero strategy development or eagerness to develop these skills
- Experience in developing decision support tools
Desirable:
- Good communication skills
- Good report writing and presentation skills
- Adept at problem-solving
- Organisation and time management skills
- Experience in client facing roles
- Experience in data analysis (including use of Excel)
- UK water sector experience
- Familiarity with UK water sector regulations
