**Job overview**:
Due to significant investment in psychological professions and psychological services in CFT, we are looking for a skilled and innovative person, to fulfil the role of Consultant Psychologist in the next phase of our recruitment programme for Dementia and Older People’s Mental Health services.

The Trust is committed to leadership development in the psychological professions to drive forward developments in psychological services. We are in the process of a transformation programme across the organisation to increase access to high quality psychological interventions. We are committed to developing satisfying roles for all our staff and in working with you to develop our services to meet the needs of people in Cornwall.

**Main duties of the job**:
We have recently appointed heads of profession for adult mental health, inpatient and crisis services, and children’s services. We are now looking to develop our dementia and older peoples’ mental health and learning disability services. As Consultant Psychologist for Dementia and Older Peoples’ Mental Health Services you will support our operational leads to develop outstanding psychology services.

You will join a dynamic team of psychological professionals including 3x8b Lead Principal Psychologists (leading on Memory Assessment, Behaviour that Challenges, and Psychological Therapy pathways), 3x8a Principal Psychologists, 2x Assistant Psychologists, a CAT therapist, Trainee Clinical Psychologists, and Psychology Undergraduate Interns.

We are striving to be an innovative and dynamic organisation. We have close links with both Plymouth and Exeter Universities, and across the southwest via the Psychological Professions Network and HEE/NHSE workstreams. We are training our 4th cohort of Clinical Associate Psychologists (CAPs) and we are developing new roles such as Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (MHWP). We are developing MPAC (Multi-Professional Approved Clinician) training and roles across our services and welcome innovations in working which result in good outcomes for our population. We will support research interests and opportunities for professional development and training according to individual and service needs.
