Employability Tutor

We are currently developing our Employment Support work, working with disabled adults (post 16) who are wanting to enter, or remain in, paid employment. We are looking for a new team member to deliver training in the skills that employers are looking for in their staff team to ensure that disabled people have exactly the same opportunities as non disabled people when looking for work.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and delivery of learning programmes to disabled people, at varying levels, in employability
- Identify and source progression pathways including work placements and paid, employment
- Deliver high quality teaching, learning & assessments, including functional skills, to the standard required by the organisation and any accrediting body, sharing best practice and leading by example
- Be part of the team responsible for learner recruitment including initial interview and assessment
- Ensure effective, timely and accurate recording and reporting of learner progress, course reviews and self-assessment
- Provide mentoring support to learners as required - particularly in transitional work placement and employment post the project
Skills and Experience
- Current teaching qualification
- Experience of working with disabled people is desirable
- Ability to engage and build rapport with younger people and adults
- Ability to teach others in systematic way using different methods/approaches
- Experience of developing bespoke training packages/learning resources
- Experience of delivering functional skills training
Other responsibilities
- You must be able to create a positive atmosphere for progression, enabling customers to achieve their aspirations in a safe and supportive environment
- Maintain professional and personal boundaries with all customers/ employees, parents and carers, colleagues, and other professionals
- Undertake mandatory training and continued professional development in line with the needs and responsibilities of the role.
Hours: 35 per week. Part time will be considered

**Salary**: £13.65 per hour
