To ensure accountability of stock is kept at all times.
Shifts: 06.00am-14.00pm & 14.00pm-22.00pm (Occasional nights)
Pay rate: £10.11-£10.70 per hour (Based on experience)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
Responsible for ensuring production lines always start on time. Team leader should be on the line 30 minutes prior to start of shift.
Stock and codes on machines should be checked to ensure they all match by the start of production.
Lines are always set to the standard laid out in the line drawing.
The coaching and development of staff and team leaders on lines to achieve targets set. Assessing staff skills and appointing them appropriately on line. Team leader must train all staff on line processes to make sure they are following quality and health andsafety standards and procedures.
If staff needs to be spoken to regarding their performance on line, the supervisor must address the points of the concern in a diplomatic but caring manner. If the problem persists, speak to a Manager and ask them to deal with it.
At the end of the shift pass all relevant information to next shift Team leader including any issues.
Productivity
Ensure the Correct placement of staff to achieve the best performance as per the line drawing and maintain line balance. Line drawing must indicate cycle time per process.
Must achieve previous set targets for the job and strive to achieve new demonstrated targets.
Using Lean Techniques to improve lines.
Ensure the accurate recording and display of kaizen figures on lines.
Inform your production manager of any changes to line layouts or staff numbers so the line drawing and the planned production target can be updated.
Work with relevant departments to make sure any problems are closed out or escalated to your manager within the hour.
Have a clear understanding of targets to be achieved.
Ensure all lines are cleared down correctly after when lines have finished and at the end of each shift.
Help ensure that stock accountability is kept at all times.
The Team Leader needs to carry out all paper work, date changes, product change over.
Machine safety check must be documented, and any problems passed to Engineer to ensure work is carry out.
