**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Benefits department for a Benefits Assistant. We provide services to Maidstone, Swale and Tunbridge Wells Borough Councils, and are looking for a motivated and confident individual who is willing to learn and develop in the role as knowledge and experience increases.

This is a full-time position (37 hours per week) on a permanent contract.

**About You**:
The post holder should be educated to GCSE level, or equivalent, and must have excellent written and oral communication skills. They will have good IT skills and the ability to take ownership of their actions whilst working in a challenging environment.

The Council considers this to be a customer focused role and the ability to converse at ease with customers adapting communication style to suit differing audiences and provide advice in accurate spoken English is fundamental to the role.
