**Job Summary**:
GKN’s new Global Technology Centre (GTC) in Filton, Bristol is a £32m state of the art technology research and development facility which will act as a hub for world-class innovative technology for the next generation of fuel-efficient aircraft. It will include collaborative space for research and development with universities, the UK’s CATAPULT network and GKN Aerospace’s UK supply chain, to help strengthen aerospace technology and support the UK’s Industrial strategy. We are seeking to recruit an Office Manager, you will be responsible for designing, establishing and managing processes around visitor experience (i.e. an events-based approach) and internal communications. You will also provide support and coordination for local initiatives to deliver positive employee engagement and to drive the culture principles and values that help make the GTC a Great Place to Work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the services (reception, catering, etc) teams to provide a high level of customer focus to meet the business needs
- Continuously review and improve standards and procedures, as well as establish new procedures and processes, to ensure a seamless delivery of front of house services and visitor experience
- Supervise and ensure the professional greeting of customers and visitors to the highest standards
- Supervise and support with the co-ordination of functions and events. Acting as host to internal/external visitors. Supervise from event enquiry to delivery
- Acting as key point of contact for the office by having a visible presence in the office throughout the working week
- Develop and manage the internal communications plan which involves setting up and overseeing a range of communication channels/ programs/ initiatives and running the regular news letter
- Coordinate with the relevant stakeholders to gather content for delivery for the various communication channels, suggesting improvements to content
- Capitalise on opportunities for positive communication stories and collaborate with appointed communication ambassadors to increase the quality and quantity of our communications.
- Ensure outputs are on brand, promoting the technical community communications collateral such as our strapline, identify symbol, icons and powerpoint templates.
- Develop measurement and evaluation tools to understand the effectiveness of the communications plan and to identify opportunities for improvement
- Provide support and coordination for local initiatives to deliver positive employee engagement and to drive the culture principles and values that help make the GTC a Great Place to Work.
- Coordinating On-Boarding sessions, delivering welcome presentations and allocating lockers to new employees
- Tracking, ordering and replenishing merchandise
- Point of contact for OCS hospitality and Weston college
- Overseeing Room bookings and event calendar
- Overseeing local ERG sub groups and STEM

Essential:

- Experience coordinating internal meetings and events
- Experience in producing and disseminating internal
- Experience in building stakeholder relationships and networks
- Experience engaging with a full range of seniorities, from CEOs and Minsters through to students
- Experience communicating to large groups of people

Desirable:

- Degree qualified (or equivalent) or studying towards a degree in a relevant discipline (communications, marketing, events, PR or business administration)
- Experience working in a complex and global environment
- Experience in a customer service role
