Our client in Newbury, Berkshire, is current recruiting for a Marketing Assistant to join their business. The Marketing Assistant will need to pay close attention to managing the company’s social media accounts and graphic design elements using Canva. Asthe Marketing Assistant you will work part of the marketing team to develop and run the marking and PR campaigns and events. The main objective of the role, as Marketing Assistant, is to increase the company’s brand awareness and revenue.

Responsibilities Of The Marketing Assistant Role:

- To assist the Marketing Manager in ensuring the company’s brand is represented to a high standard across internal documents and public facing assets.
- Developing all aspects of the company’s Marketing plans, fulfil them and analyse the plans at the end of the campaign.
- Liaise and communicate with web developers.
- Design and create illustrations using Canva, photographs, GIF’s and video for the social media campaigns.

Design Responsibilities As The Marketing Assistant:

- Using Canva to create menus for the group’s cafés and pubs.
- To create and design physical and digital assets for the company’s marketing campaigns using Canva.

Social Media Responsibilities As The Marketing Assistant:

- Design and carry out social media campaigns and content that captures and the company’s brand.
- Using social media posts to increase the engagement of the company
- Manage all the of the company’s social media platforms as the Marketing Assistant

PR & Communications Responsibilities As The Marketing Assistant:

- Working with magazines and newspapers from the local area to market the business
- Using the company’s online journal, write blog's updating people on the company
- Working alongside the HR team to develop strong internal communication campaigns

Events Responsibilities As The Marketing Assistant
- Working with the companies Area Manager, General Managers and Supervisors to organise and market successful company events across the business to increase revenue.

Qualifications & Experience For The Marketing Assistant role:
Desired:

- Values that align with the company
- A passion to create and develop great content to a high standard
- Strong internal communication skills

Essential:

- Strong background with Digital Marketing and Social Media, that as been gained through university at degree level or through work experience
- Graphic design experience, preferably using Canva or similar design tool
- Squarespace, Wordpress or other website management knowledge
