Accounts Payable Specialist

This is a fantastic opportunity to become an Accounts Payable Assistant on a 6months FTC, giving you the opportunity to be an important part of the Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC) for William Hill as part of the Accounts Payable team, in the centreof Leeds.
You'll report to the Accounts Payable Team Leader as part of a team of nine within the Accounts Payable function. This will include a Purchase to Pay (P2P) process using Oracle Fusion. The role will be based in Leeds in the St John’s Office with hybrid workingwhere you work 2 days in the office and three days in the comfort of your own home.
Your primary responsibility will be:

- to ensure the efficient and accurate processing and recording of accounts payable transactions by resolving queries on a timely basis and often within tight deadlines.
- Monthly reconciliation of priority supplier statements
- Ensuring that all invoices are correctly processed in line with the P2P process and any additional authorisation is obtained where necessary, reporting any unusual transactions to senior management on a timely basis.
- Supper master data responsibilities - ensuring our validation and controls are adhered to
- You'll also actively contribute to our ethos of continuous improvement.
Skills Needed:

- Experience working in Accounts Payable teams in large and multinational organisations is preferable with a knowledge of key controls within an Accounts Payable function
- You'll have a strong desire to learn and expand your knowledge of Accounts Payable principles and processes
- You'll have the ability to prioritise effectively across several different work streams under tight deadlines, be able to demonstrate an ability to challenge the norm and strive for continuous improvement.
- You'll have good IT skills with a basic/intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office.
- You'll be personable with an ability to communicate well with suppliers and colleagues, able to work on your own and as part of a team.
- You'll have an assertive and proactive approach with a drive and energy to exceed goals whilst being prepared to take accountability and be self-motivated.
- You'll also actively contribute to our ethos of continuous improvement.
