Over the past 20+ years Stage Sound Services have established itself as industry leaders in sound, video, projection and staging hire and sales. We specialise in providing innovative and bespoke cutting-edge equipment to the theatre and events industry, as well as offering expert design, technical and project management services. We even design, construct and sell bespoke flight cases at our in-house workshop. We hire to a diverse range of clients including; professional theatre productions, large scale corporate events, exhibitions, local community events and amateur dramatics. We are proud that our equipment can be seen in theatres and corporate venues across the country, which is why we are currently expanding our business and require more enthusiastic, dedicated staff, like you, to help us sustainably build on the successes we have already achieved.

**ABOUT YOU...**

We are looking for a Driver, with experience of driving nationally in the UK, to join us. Whilst out and about you will be the human face and voice of Stage Sound Services, being a point of contact for all clients and customers whilst on deliveries or collections. You will naturally ensure that deliveries and collections are carried out efficiently and in compliance with regulatory and company policies. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and engaging place to work, so your positive “can do” attitude and experience of building excellent working relationships with colleagues, clients and customers will be key to achieving this.

With a good standard of education and no more than 6 points on your licence that cannot include DR, DG or IN endorsements, you will have experience in a similar role. You will be presentable, solution focused with a practical approach to problem solving and able to thrive in a time sensitive environment.

**Hours**: 160 hours over a 4 week period

**Contract**: Full Time & Permanent

**Salary**: £22,238 - £23,688 (Depending on experience/qualifications) - Pay Award Pending

**Location**: Cardiff based, with national travel

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**

Drivers act as the face and voice of Stage Sound Services, being a point of contact for all clients and customers, whilst out on deliveries or collections. They will ensure that deliveries and/or collections are carried out efficiently and in compliance with regulatory and company policies.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Your responsibilities will include:

- Acting as the ‘face’ of the Company away from Base, maintaining a professional appearance and attitude
- Maintain the Company’s reputation and standards
- To use GPS navigation apps and knowledge of areas to deliver and collect to Customers on time
- Maintain electronic logs to track routes and deliveries
- Assist in the unloading of company vehicles upon return to base during warehouse opening hours.
- Ensuring vehicles are loaded safely, with attention to weight loading, multi drop vehicle packing, and the safety of the load during transportation
- Ensuring scheduled delivery/collection times are met
- Being flexible with the ability to react to changes in scheduling
- Daily communication with the Logistics Manager to agree daily schedule and objectives
- Willingness to work extended or unsociable hours, particularly during peak periods
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Completion of daily vehicle maintenance checks and notifying the Vehicle Supervisor of issues immediately
- Timely and accurate completion of administrative duties and delivery/collection paperwork
