**GENERAL SUMMARY**
As a Maintenance & Facilities Tradesperson, you will be a member of a team responsible for the continuous upkeep and improvement of the site facilities and assets. Duties include carrying out planned and reactive maintenance along with project work. You will be expected to undertake activities such as patch repairs, plumbing and joinery to name a few. In addition to this you will aid the Maintenance Engineers in their tasks where required.
**PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)**
- Ensure that health, safety and environmental guidelines are followed.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks including but not limited to:
- Plumbing
- Joinery
- Concrete works
- Decoration
- Grounds maintenance
- Scope jobs, providing timelines and materials required for works.
- Review and comment on RAMS for subcontractors carrying out larger tasks.
- Assist in developing maintenance procedures and programs.
- Be available for further training if required.
- Responsible for your own quality of work, self-inspection and completion of paperwork and checklists where required.
- Participate in continuous improvement and project activities when required.
**EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Experience within a maintenance / facilities environment.
- Relevant qualifications required such as C&G or a trade related qualification.
- Hand and power tool skills.
- IPAF or equivalent certification and/or forklift truck counterbalance license (desirable).
- Full UK driver’s license (desirable).
- Ability to work as part of a multi-function team preferably in a heavy engineering manufacturing environment.
- Have an understanding and experience of lean manufacturing techniques.
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbally.

- Required daily to stand, sit, walk, talk, hear, and see (specific close vision abilities are required to perform computer work)

- Required occasionally to lift and/or move objects that are light to moderate
- Required occasionally to travel (usually by air or road so may be required to sit for extended periods)
