**Full Job Description**

AddQual are seeking an Operations / Project Lead Engineer, focusing on Aerospace, Metrology and Digital, to join the expanding team of engineers at the Derby site.

As an SME, this is a dynamic and varied role within a growing and ambitious business. The roles requires both strong engineering experience and knowledge, coupled with commercial acumen, with a broad variety of projects.

We serve the aerospace and power markets with our digital metrology services and R&D projects that are developing our capabilities and offerings.

**Role**

We are seeking an experienced Operations / Project Lead to join our team and help strengthen our operations management capabilities. In this role, you will oversee operations and critical projects that enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for overseeing and improving the daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
- Identify potential operational bottlenecks and develop solutions to mitigate risks
- Monitor project progress, manage priorities and provide regular status and progress updates to leadership and team
- Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, resource allocation, risk assessments, and budgeting
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure operational and project deliverables are met on time and within budget
- Co-ordinate multiple operational improvement projects simultaneously from inception to completion
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Implement and maintain project management methodologies and best practices
- Creates and maintains accurate and comprehensive project documentation
- Support change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new processes
- Analyse project results and document lessons learned for future improvements
- Drive the performance of the operations utilising KPI’s

**Qualification and Skills**
- Bachelor's degree (preferable) in Operations Management, Engineering or related field
- Strong understanding of Operations Management principles and practices
- Ideally 2+ years of experience in an operations-focused environment with exposure to project management,
- Demonstrable capability and solid project management skills working on challenging projects with solid track record of success including on time and within budget
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent would be beneficial
- Highly organized and flexible with a proven ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams and stakeholders to achieve business goals
- Ability to prioritize competing demands
- Confident and Proficient with MS Office suite and preferably with Project Management software (MS Project or similar)
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge and some experience utilising process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile would be beneficial

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

- Performance bonus

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Derby, DE24 8HJ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Project Management: 2 years (required)
