We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Psychologist or CBT Therapist to join the specialist CAMHS eating disorder service.

We are looking for a highly motivated practitioner; preferably with experience of working with young people but experience with young adults or adults with eating disorders also relevant.

The successful applicant will be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team with a base in Winchester but working across Hampshire supporting clinicians.

It is an exciting time to join Hampshire EDT, this post will support our wider work and pathway for children and young people identified with Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, more commonly known as ARFID. The condition is characterised by a person’s avoidance certain foods or types of food, having restricted intake in terms of overall amount eaten, or both.

ARFID can have a negative impact on the person’s physical health as well as their psychological wellbeing. Children and young people may fail to gain weight as expected and their growth may be affected.

Home based working is also available in addition to patient facing delivery. This role is Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm.

This post will also support our multi-disciplinary team to complete assessments and deliver individual and group work within community settings. This role gives opportunity for development of skills and expertise in a supportive multi-disciplinary team.

You will be supported within the team by senior clinicians and will work closely with other specialists within the service. Clinical supervision and professional leadership will be provided.

There are excellent opportunities for professional development within team through supervision, training, team CPD and wider CAMHS and Trust events.

To provide a qualified, high-quality specialist psychology service to individuals, carers, families and groups, within and across teams, in line with best, evidence-based practice and trust care pathways.

To be responsible for holding and managing a clinical caseload and to exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the planning and prioritising of own workload and the assessment, treatment and discharge of clients, within the bounds of the service operational policy.

To use analytical and judgment skills and be responsible for taking clinical management decisions in complex clinical issues.

- To provide consultation and advice about psychological issues to other members of the team/service and other professionals working with service users.
- To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service/team.

- To utilise research skills to undertake service evaluation, audit and research as appropriate and disseminate the results in the service and nationally.
- 1. To carry out specialist psychological assessments of clients referred to the service, based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex psychological data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client’s care, in order to reach a psychological formulation of the client’s difficulties.
