**About The Role**:
Daylight is a day service that supports adults with learning disabilities. Some of the people who attend the service have additional physical support needs and can also be on autism spectrum disorder. The post is a full-time vacancy where staff are required to work 35 hours a week between Monday and Friday. As a support worker you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that p[people who attend the service have quality needs led service and make a real difference to people’s lives.

**Responsibilities**

As a support worker you will be key working people where you will be the main link between the service and the parents or the carers. You will be responsible for all communications between the families, carers and the care managers. You will also be planning ad running activities as chosen by the people who attend the service.

**Requirements**:
You must have a minimum of one years’ experience of working in a care setting preferably within the learning disability sector. You should also have the experience of working with people who may fall within the Autism Spectrum. You should be familiar with the various communication systems mainly understanding and experience of using Makaton. You must be physically fit and able to undertake various physical roles ranging from supporting with the wheel chairs and providing personal care.
