Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be supporting this highly prestigious, medium sized firm of chartered accountants based in Central Manchester that are eager to appoint a skilled and experience Accounts & Tax Semi-Senior or Senior on a straight permanent basis to complement the existing accounts and tax team.

You will be joining a growing team and will be personally responsible for a portfolio of around 100 cases consisting of limited companies and tax clients varying from sole traders through to trusts and all forms of partnerships. Work will also include accounts preparation.

This role is suitable for someone experienced in preparing from commencement to finalisation limited company accounts but who also has experience in preparing tax returns. You will report directly to senior tax and accounts staff and partners and whilst the role has a high degree of autonomy there is a team around you to support you.

**Role Requirements -**
- Preparation of accounts from clients' records for different entities including limited companies and partnerships.
- Preparation of personal tax returns for individuals, trusts and partnerships.
- The provision of detailed correspondence with clients, HM Revenue & Customs and third parties.
- Dealing with PAYE coding matters, NI deferment forms and other relevant forms.
- Proactive management of portfolio including looking for tax planning and value-added opportunities.
- Assisting the client partners with tax planning / consultancy projects.
- Billing and other administrative issues relating to the portfolio.

**Person Requirements -**
- Ideally 2+ years in a mixed accounts and personal tax role and potentially studying towards a recognised accounting qualification
- Possess current personal tax experience in a compliance role and the use of CCH Personal Tax would be highly advantageous but not essential.
