Market Lead

We are looking for a Market Lead - Net Zero to join our Marketing team. Working Monday to Friday, you will be based in Stoke on Trent / Stone. Benefits include: 25 days holiday (plus public holidays) - Flexible working arrangements (variable start and end times) - Private medical cover (including a cash plan to pay most excesses, and the option to enrol other family members) **Role Purpose** The Purpose of the role is to lead the creation of a new and profitable business service activity for Lucideon built on the offer of technologies and services of relevance and value to the industry drive to Net Zero. This will involve the creation of a profitable new business stream, serving existing and new clients in predominately high energy user, and / or energy dependent industries, which help clients meet the transition to net zero in the shortest and most effective timescales. The job holder will develop the plans for market channels, product offer, target clients, territories, launch and roll out, alongside appropriate colleagues, and win support of the Board for a sound commercial business plan. The incumbent will liaise extensively with a variety of stakeholders, and therefore will require a collaborative, team player approach. This must be combined with a desire to work in a results-oriented environment and a capability to develop high level and long-term business relationships within our client base. Essential attributes include a sound technical understanding of Materials Science / Engineering, strong organisational skills, exceptional communication skills, very strong business and financial acumen and a strong work ethic. Extensive travel to customer locations and Lucideon locations globally is expected. **Accountabilities** - Development of market facing commercial business plan that delivers a business of >£2 m revenues at 20% EBITDA within 2 years - Building market relationships with partners and launch clients - Identifying profitable market segments to focus efforts on - Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Business Management, Product Management, Sales, Technical Consultants and SIPF Programme teams to develop and commercialise product offers for high value services, ensuring prevention of internal and external commoditization of the offer - Building confidence and credibility within and across Lucideon in the offer and the business - Provide effective management information and reporting on the business activities - Such other duties as may be reasonably required by the Company **Qualifications** - Minimum of bachelor’s degree in material science, chemistry, chemical engineering or a related technical discipline - A relevant Marketing/Business qualification would be highly desirable **Experience** - Demonstrable experience within the carbon reduction industry - Proven track record of driving business growth - Experience in a technology consultancy would be advantageous - Experience of cross-territory collaboration, especially between the UK and US. **Knowledge/Skills** - Credible and with high levels of gravitas for senior-level negotiations with clients - Excellent influencing skills, both internally and externally, combined with a willingness to challenge existing ideas - High level skills in structuring the approach to the role, including key task prioritisation and maintaining a focus on the strategic aims of the business - Ability to work in a “one team” manner to resolve any challenges that arise internally or externally - Exceptional communication skills both written and oral at all levels of seniority - Willing to travel to client meetings within and outside territory and to Lucideon’s global locations - The role will be based at Stone (UK) but will involve extensive travel to clients globally and to Lucideon’s facilities in the US.
