About the role
You will be part of a small Programme Delivery team within a wider Centre of Excellence (COE) team and will provide PMO support and diligence to a broad range of Finance projects that will touch all areas of the organisation. You will work with and support Project Managers to ensure projects (within your Programme) are delivered using the agreed methodology.
You will be responsible for
- Ensuring Programme and Project Managers are using the approved PMO artefacts, tools and processes within all Projects.
- Supporting Project Managers with the budget, monthly forecasting process, reporting, planning, RAID, Actions tracking etc.
- Carrying out independent assurance reviews on Projects and work with Project Managers to address any gaps or areas for improvement.
- Helping & assisting the Project Managers in all quality related matters.
- Providing input and guidance in preparing for key meetings i.e. FCDB, compliance reviews, Stage gates etc.
- Supporting Stage Gate Entry/Exit to ensure all relevant criteria is met for Programmes and Projects
- Supporting the Delivery Programme with reporting and documentation of key Programme and Project metrics i.e. KPI’s, Success criteria.
- Supporting Project Managers on Programme and Project assurance standard methodology.
- Communicating COE Project Management Artefacts and Standards to Project Managers.
- Supporting and providing administration support to the Programme delivery resourcing process.
You will need
- Prior experience of working with multiple projects at the same time
- Knowledge and experience of working on projects within or outside of Tesco would be highly desirable
- To be open, flexible, and with an empathic manner that gains the respect of colleagues
- To be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
- A solid understanding of PMO process, best practice Programme and Project delivery methods
- Excellent attention to detail and comfortable working with large amounts of data
- Programme management methodology / qualification (MSP, PMP, Prince2 or equivalent) would be beneficial
- Good knowledge and user of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, Microsoft SharePoint, Teams and other collaboration tools
- Organisation skills (including time management)
- Data analysis and report preparation
