The One Group are working with a leading independent Aerospace and Defence company who deliver innovative and excellent engineering, support solutions and services to customers in air, on land and at sea.
They are seeking a Technical Author to join their reputable business on a permanent basis. My client employs over 6000 people and have a turnover more than £2.7 billion.
The company specialise in conversions and modifications of military and business aircraft and their capabilities include engineering design, manufacture, and testing.
The Technical Author will play in important role in high profile military projects support UK armed forces and NATO allies.
The day-to-day responsibilities of the Technical Author include:

- Manage allocated Technical publication activities within the company through the tendering, design, manufacture, test and delivery processes
- Ensure all technical documentation is undertaken in the most cost effective manager
- Manage the development of all publication across commercial and military
- Support ILS activities and the development of Logistic Support Analysis record

What we are looking for:

- Experienced technical author
- Knowledge of Military standards
- Use of computer packages including AutoCAD
- Understanding of operation, maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical products
