We have a fantastic opportunity for a **Claims Handler** to join **Bruce Stevenson (a Howden company)** our offices located in **Edinburgh or Glasgow**. **What will you be doing**:

- Handling commercial claims 'cradle to grave' on both a delegated and non-delegated basis
- Ensure an exceptional claim service is delivered to each and every Client
- Review and if necessary, challenge Insurer decisions on liability
- Deliver consistently an exceptional claim service to every Client

**You need to bring with you**:

- Experience of handling commercial claims and compliance to relevant processes
- Working knowledge of all the main classes of General Insurance and GDPR, FCA / FOS and the CII's Code of Ethics
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in providing specialist advice in the insurance market is desirable
- Ability to develop and sustain relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- Ability to construct effective written communications, including letters.
- Confident and effective telephone skills.
- Collating key information in relation to claims and in a suitable format for insurers.
- Providing support and advice to our clients during the life cycle of their claim.
- Cert CII qualification is essential for this role
