Ignata Finance are exclusively working with an exciting and forward-thinking business based in Richmond for the recruitment of a newly created Finance Analyst. This is a role where you will be given an opportunity to support the Senior FP&A Manger andreally hone your skills.
There are several key areas of responsibility, finance business partnering, reporting, systems improvements and general support to other roles within the wider finance team. To be successful in this role you will be highly commercial. You will very quicklydevelop a strong understanding of the business in order to identify both new opportunities, and margin improvements. You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing. This role will be challenging, as your multiple priorities will changeas they operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Preparation of month end accrual (sales returns, MDF, Commercial support).
- Ownership of commercial areas of the balance sheet, preparing full justification of positions.
- Completion of month end tasks to support MI delivery.
- Investigate and report on significant variances to budget and forecast.
- Analysing and reporting on all marketing activity.
- Analysing and reporting on sales and direct margin performance, investigating under own initiative, where necessary.
- Support in the development of customer P&L reporting.
- Understand sales arrangements and activity, able to provide on the spot narrative to business performance.
- Support activity in the delivery of quarterly forecasts and budget activity.
- Coordination of sales dashboards.
- Interaction with operations to support S&OP activity.
- Ad hoc analysis to support commercial assessments.
- Providing insight that aligns financial reports to business objectives and strategies.
- Working on business process improvements to ensure key financial, commercial and operations targets are delivered efficiently.
- Building partnerships and strong relationships in order to improve business performance.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
ESSENTIAL:

- Approaching qualification or newly qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Hard working and a good team player.
- Excellent excel skills.
- Experience of import and export.
- Experience of manufacturing, retail and distribution.
- Ambitious and self-driven.
- Good communication skills.
- Good organisation and administrative skills.
- Business Partner approach
