**Job Profile**
Working as part of CAFOD’s Campaigns team, you will have a pivotal role in delivering campaigns that tackle the root causes of global poverty and injustice. You’ll be central to managing relationships with volunteers and faith networks and inspiring them to support CAFOD’s campaigns. You’ll also be responsible for promoting and delivering campaign events and supporting the growth of new audience groups for CAFOD campaigns, both online and off-line.
This role works closely with all members of the Campaigns team and in line managed by Head of Campaigns.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Liaise with Campaigning Groups and Faith Networks**
- Working with others in CAFOD, in promoting and supporting the uptake of the Livesimply award as part of Dioceses and others response to the climate crisis and through this supporting the Vatican Laudato Si Action Platform.
- Manage the recording of accurate information and production of reports from the CAFOD supporter database for dissemination across CAFOD.
- Manage key external relationships with Catholic and inter-faith networks. Work with these groups to build a strong faith movement to influence key issues for CAFOD campaigns. These will include National Justice and Peace, Laudato Si’ Movement, interfaith climate groups and others which will help with our audience development. This work will often feature organising a faith presence at key moments or events.
**Audience Development and Digital Engagement**
- Support the growth of new audience groups, such as diaspora groups or a younger audience, through engagement with CAFOD campaigns. This work will be largely digital first.
- Work closely with CAFOD’s digital team to develop digital engagement strategies and journeys for CAFOD campaigns and supporters especially for new audiences.
**Campaign Implementation**
- Lead on the delivery of campaigns events, actions and stunts directed towards influencing decision makers and/or the media.
- Where appropriate, promote and deliver training and support for CAFOD’s campaign volunteers
- Manage feedback mechanisms for campaign volunteers and supporters to enable learning for campaign development.
- Lead on the promotion and implementation of the community-based lifestyle elements of the campaigns and ensuring clear linkages with the Livesimply work.
**Communications**
- Support the delivery and production of communications materials (digital and print) and ensure they are engaging for CAFOD’s supporters.
- Represent the Campaigns Team at relevant cross-organisational meetings and liaise with other teams to ensure mailings and other comms outputs are smoothly coordinated across the organisation.
**External Representation**
- Represent CAFOD campaigns team in external coalitions and meetings.
- Act as a spokesperson for CAFOD on the campaign with supporters or the media.

**Person Specification**
- Proven experience of working on successful campaigns for social change, preferably on international issues.
- Excellent inter-personal skills with experience of working with multiple external stakeholders, and as part of a team.
- A track record of strong written and spoken communications skills, including the ability to translate complex ideas into accessible materials for a wide variety of audiences.
- A good understanding of the Catholic church and knowledge of the Catholic community in England and Wales.
- Experience of digital campaigning and developing social media outputs.
- Demonstrated experience of project management, ideally event management.
- Highly organised, able to manage a busy workload and consistently meet deadlines.
- Understanding of international development and global justice issues.
