**IT Support Technician**

Full time, permanent

Bedford

**Hours**:Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.

**Salary**:Up to£24,000.

**Duties**:

- Provide first and second line support.
- Troubleshoot incidents which have been logged on the Service Desk.
- Find suitable solutions for service desk requests which have been logged on the Service Desk
- Provide support to 'walk-ins’ and ensure tickets are retrospectively logged.
- Answering the IT Services phone to log and resolve queries.
- Priorities day to day tasks to ensure SLAs are met.
- Maintaining communication in line with the service-desk guidelines.
- Proactively/regularly checking equipment and logging issues.
- Support the setup of IT equipment and resources as required.
- Replacing IT peripherals when required.
- Carrying out maintenance/repairs on hardware.
- Updating the asset management system.
- Providing out of hours support for scheduled and emergency scenarios.
- Supporting the successful delivery of new projects or developments.
- Maintaining/creating documentation related to areas of responsibility/access.

**Skills / Qualifications / Experience**:

- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- A good working knowledge of desktop computer, laptop, smart phone/tablet hardware devices and configuration network and computer security concepts and troubleshooting is essential.
- Experience in a similar role is an advantage, we are willing to support an individual who is looking to be trained further in a practical environment.
- Passion for IT and enjoy providing excellent customer service.
- You will be highly organised and have good communication skills coupled with the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
