**Residential Support Worker - Cambian Whinfell School**
**Salary**:£23,000 per year including sleep ins + Overtime Available
**Also, an offer of £1,000 welcome bonus 50% paid on arrival and 50% on satisfactory completion of a 6-month probation. There will be staff training and professional development opportunities also available when joining this school recently graded as “Outstanding” by Ofsted.**

With 15 consecutive _Outstanding_ Ofsted inspection grades Whinfell School is probably one of the best schools of its type in the country. Located in the picturesque town of Kendal it provides exceptional care and education to a small group of boys who have Asperger’s or challenges within the autistic spectrum.

You may have the skills to support our pupils in their activities to raise money for charities such as our local homeless shelter or to help them prepare for a more independent life by arranging activities and social events for them. Alternatively you may be interested in becoming involved in our innovative outdoor learning provision that develops their leadership skills, resilience and confidence.

**What we need from you?**
Successful Support Workers will be part of a large supportive care team who work holistically across Care, Education and Therapeutic services supporting each other’s practice to deliver specialist residential educational services to those with additional and complex needs; including Autism & Asperger’s. This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with trained, qualified professionals from across our multidisciplinary team and to join an expanding, successful educational organisation.
Cambian Whinfell School and Children’s Home is currently working towards reshaping the way in which specialist’s supports young people into adulthood and seeks to prepare them for possible employment and/or lifelong fulfilment.
