Group Specials Editor

**What you'll be doing**

As Group Specials Editor, this role will lead the monthly magazines on women’s lifestyle brands including Woman, Woman’s Own, and Woman’s Weekly, as well as others.

You will be creating and implementing the vision for each brand while working closely with the weekly brand editors to ensure continuity across the brand as a whole and ensure that this is aligned with the business requirements.

A key part of this role is to develop and evolve the brands’ strategies, ensuring alignment with the weekly parent brands and ensuring the strategy is founded on a deep understanding of the consumer and is aligned with business requirements.

You will have overall responsibility for the creation of the magazine, managing the flatplan, and flow of the magazine.

**Experience that will put you ahead of the curve**
- Experience working on women’s lifestyle magazines/national newspapers.
- Exceptional editing and writing skills, including the ability to write headlines and create magazine covers.
- Creative thinking - ability to come up with, and implement, brand strategies.
- Relevant market knowledge, expertise, and experience.
- Self-motivating, organised, and with strong time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both internal and external. Confident in building relationships where necessary.
- Ability to manage a budget, working with the content teams to deliver content on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of media law.

The expected range for this role is £33,000 - £55,000

This is a Hybrid role from our London Paddington Office, working three days from the office
