We have an Amazing Career Opportunity for a Senior Editor in our Hospitality Group in our United Kingdom Office Do you enjoy writing? Do you love hotels and real estate? Is working with a team of seasoned journalists and conference producers right up your alley? If so, we want to hear from you- Questex is seeking a Senior Editor in the Hospitality Investment group. The individual will generate and write stories focused on all aspects of commercial real estate—development, financing, dealmaking and brokerage, operations, new openings and cross-border and domestic investment related to asset types including hotel, co-living, serviced apartments and other living sectors in the context of the wider real estate and capital markets.Who are we?- Hospitality Insights is the hospitality investment and operational real estate vertical of Questex, a leading global media and event company that drives business through event and digital experiences.-
- You will be responsible for writing stories on a daily basis, producing special reports, contributing to newsletters, brainstorming new story angles pertaining to commercial real estate and its operations and serving as a moderator on webinars and live events, when necessary.Who you are?- As a Senior Editor, you will be responsible for creating content that informs hospitality stakeholders, allowing them to make better, smarter decisions about how to spend their investment dollars.- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

**Responsibilities**:

- Produce story ideas on a daily and weekly basis focused on the commercial real estate market.
- Edit and write daily news stories, as well as some longform features and special reports closely tied to the hospitality industry.
- Work collaboratively with Editor-in-Chief and Content Director on projects.
- Represent Questex and Hospitality Insights at trade shows, conferences, and other events, including our own: International Hospitality Investment Conference (IHIF); The Annual Hotel Conference (AHC); Resort & Residential Hospitality Forum (R&R)
- Participate as a successful member of our editorial team.
- Work with content team across the group on website and newsletter strategy, style, and processes.
- Develop a range of sources at companies and regulatory agencies and among industry experts and analysts. Mine government databases, court documents, securities filings and other public sources for news and enterprise stories.
- Brainstorm and bring to life features and series that help us interact with and engage the dedicated community of readers.
- Help increase social engagement across the group.
- Monitor social platforms for breaking stories and post and interact on those platforms.
- Maintain a strong social media presence. Engage in active conversations around our content and the industry on Twitter, LinkedIn and other social platforms.

- 3 years minimum experience in commercial real estate coverage
- A strong acumen for writing and proofreading
- Excellent presentation, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- A strong sense of organisation with strict attention to detail
- Ability to listen, adapt, and think quickly on your feet
