We are a brand design-centric, creative production house who are passionate about crafting effective design solutions and content at scale. The agency was combines the best design-centric capability, storytelling, production, and post-production expertise. Makerhouse consists of writers, filmmakers, editors, photographers, producers, designers, and multimedia specialists, producing a vast array of different content for our clients.

We have a global footprint, led out of Detroit, with the European team based in London, Düsseldorf, and Cologne. In Europe, acting as a single front-door to production services for our clients and partner agencies. We are driven by creativity, and are experts at balancing quality with production efficiency, never delivering one at the expense of the other.

**What does a Senior Editor do at Makerhouse?**

At Makerhouse, you will be expected to work as a senior creative editor within the post-production department, demonstrating good all-round experience and a keen eye for detail. You will work with the Head of Post Production and Lead Editor on training and development for the post-production team and provide feedback on operations to help ensure that hardware and software are optimised for our usage requirements. You will support on ensuring that Makerhouse post production workflows are followed.

The brand is a new one for Makerhouse, a global tobacco brand who are an existing client of our partners within WPP. The core focus of the brand is FMCG, but the audience, through social channels and media, is universal, and there is a clear focus on delivering stories that resonate with a range of audience cultures.

**In this role you will...**
- Operate as a senior all-round editor within the post-production team, working confidently across a wide range of brief and bringing a strong creative vision to every edit.
- Work closely with the Head of Post Production and Lead Editor to manage our existing workflows and support the introduction of new ones as required.
- Collaborate with the wider Makerhouse Production, Post Production and Project Management teams on projects to ensure that they are completed within allocated time and budget requirements.
- Work directly with the wider team to manage expectations, provide project breakdowns, and find resolutions to any issues that arise.
- Brief other editors and freelancers as required.

**Reporting lines and key stakeholders**

This role reports to the Head of Post Production at Makerhouse.

You will work closely with the Lead Editor and collaborate with the wider Makerhouse Production, Post Production and Project Management teams.

**Requirements**:

- Enthusiasm, drive, and a commitment to a career in post-production
- Extensive experience with Adobe CC products, especially Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop
- Excellent understanding of file formats and video codecs
- Good understanding of DaVinci Resolve
- Good understanding of 2D and 3D animation pipelines
- Good understanding of post-production technology
- Good understanding of video production
- Good working knowledge of Windows and MacOS systems
- Good working knowledge of the Office 365 tools
- Organisational skills, capable of multi-tasking and an excellent problem-solver
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent written English and an eye for detail
