An exciting opportunity has arisen for a **dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant** to join a supportive primary school in **Accrington**, working with the Year 5 class. This **full-time position **involves providing essential classroom support, working closely with the class teacher, and helping pupils to achieve their academic potential in a fun and engaging learning environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the **Year 5 teacher** in delivering lessons, supporting whole-class teaching, and engaging pupils in learning activities.
- Help manage **classroom behaviour** and ensure a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Assist with the preparation of **teaching resources** and activities, ensuring they are suitable for different ability levels.
- Support children’s **social and emotional development**, helping them to grow in confidence and build positive relationships with peers.
- Provide regular feedback to the class teacher on student progress and **assist with assessments**.
- Help supervise pupils during **break times, school trips**, and other activities.
- Assist with general classroom duties such as **setting up displays**, maintaining resources, and creating a welcoming classroom environment.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Previous experience working as a **Teaching Assistant**, ideally with **Key Stage 2** or Year 5 pupils.
- A good understanding of **primary education** and the **Year 5 curriculum**.
- Strong **communication and interpersonal skills**, with the ability to build rapport with children, colleagues, and parents.
- **Patience, empathy**, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
- A positive, **patient** attitude, and a passion for supporting children’s education.
