Are you an experienced Payroll Officer available for an immediate assignment of at least 3 months

My client has offices in Dorchester and Poole - so there is some flexibility as to where you can be based.

**The role is Monday to Friday but there is some flexibility with start and end times of the day.**

**Duties**:

- To be responsible for paying monthly paid employees
- Calculation, scrutiny and input of data onto the ESR system to a high level of accuracy and speed in accordance with local terms and conditions of service and statutory and non statutory legislation. All data must be calculated and input to strict, non-flexiblepayroll deadlines.
- Analyse timesheets and travel claims to ensure client financial compliance and escalate concerns to the Payroll Team Leader
- Responsibility for the secure and confident treatment of all payment records, personal information. Ensure correct authorisation obtained before the release of sensitive and confidential information.
- Process documents submitted by Human Resources and managers relating to new contracts and changes to existing contracts, checking all documentation thoroughly and querying irregular details.
- Calculation of manual payments using statutory guidance obtained from either the internet, employer CD ROM, or annually updated booklet procedures
- Process authorised travel and subsistence claims ensuring correct rates are paid and that Inland Revenue requirements are met.
- Ensure correct absence dates are recorded an payroll system for accurate attendance reports
- Check monthly payroll output as allocated by the Payroll Supervisor and complete correction sheets for errors and omissions requiring review and or correction.
- Provide cover and back up to other payroll team members so that service can be maintained across client organisations whilst developing a basic knowledge of varying terms and conditions
- Responsible for the maintenance and update of all employee pay records, to ensure accurate payment
- Ensure correct and most up to date legislation, terms and conditions, policy and procedures are adhered to in all calculations
- Investigate and resolves financial queries and discrepancies from budget managers and with individual staff
- Responsible to monitor all payments claims to ensure full compliance to Trust policies and budget restraints
- Manage individual workload to ensure that team non-negotiable deadlines are adhered to

**Previous Payroll experience is essential.**

**NHS experience is desirable but not essential.**

£11.14 - £14.21 depending on experience.
