**The Company**

**The Position**

This exciting opportunity will ideally suit a qualified Quantity Surveyor or Building Surveyor and will involve the following day to day responsibilities:

- Using your skills and previous working knowledge, you will have the ability to analyse and review Contractor / Developer and Designer proposals ensuring that the Employer's Requirements are fulfilled.
- Develop the project brief and assemble the project delivery team.
- Preparing the Building Contract and administering the contract (whether under JCT or a bespoke development agreement).
- Prepare robust and accurate tender and contract packages.
- Undertaking various forms of tender processes.
- Procuring the necessary consultancy services to develop a project to planning submission & tender.

In addition, you will independently act as the Employer's Agent to deliver the projects which will involve the following:

- Undertaking all day-to-day administrative duties on the delivery of developments under the terms of JCT, Design and Build, Bespoke Development Agreements.
- Chairing progress meetings and producing meeting minutes. To follow up and proactively manage the project on an ongoing basis.
- An understanding of development control and funding/delivery standards within the housing sector.
- To successfully manage the handover process including undertaking pre-handover inspections.
- To manage post-completion activities to include end of defect rectification period inspections, agreement of the final account, auditing the Building Manual.

**Could this role be for you?**

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has the ability to work independently and as part of a year and has the experience to deliver Employer's Agent / Contract Administration services for new build housing.

You will have excellent communication skills, and the ability to sustain and grow client relationships. You will be able to demonstrate experience of working with Private Developers, Housing Associations and Local Authorities.
