We have a senior role for an experienced music lawyer. You will work for one of the most prestigious TV, Film and Streaming platforms in the world.
The position sits within the International Music Business and Legal Affairs department.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating music agreements (including composer agreements, music supervisor agreements, songwriter agreements, producer agreements and synchronisation licences).
- Advising on rights and uses of music in productions primarily for original, licensed and acquired productions, third party distribution deals, marketing and promotions, publicity and other uses originating in EMEA.
- Advising on copyright and IP issues involving music and negotiating with copyright owners on various music issues.
- Reviewing and analysing audio and audio-visual content with respect to clearance issues.
- Expert understanding of business and legal concepts concerning music in connection with production, marketing and music collecting rights societies.
This role would suit someone with at least 8 years' PQE at a streaming service, network, television studio, film studio, or equivalent experience at a law firm. However, this is a guideline only and our client is happy to hear from anyone who can demonstratethe necessary skills and knowledge in order to fulfil the role.
