**About the Role**
You are part of a close-knit team, reporting to the Site HR Business Partner, but you will have a high level of autonomy, we don’t believe in micro-management at Refresco You will work as a key part of our team in order to strengthen and support the HRdepartment through providing an accurate, efficient and effective advisory service to the site.
You are, or have been, a HR Advisor, so you probably know what is involved, but to be transparent, here are some of your key tasks and responsibilities as a HR Advisor at Refresco:
PerPeformance & Absence Management
- Ensures all conduct matters are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner either through informal counselling or consideration through more formal route as appropriate by supporting line managers through investigations in line with company policies andprocedures
- Actively monitors absence levels and take the necessary steps for employee absence management (including sickness absence and capability), ensuring compliance against our policies and current UK legislation
- Supporting and coaching line managers through the company absence management procedures:
- Escalating cases to the HRBP where they have the potential of becoming long term
- Referring cases to Occupational Health in conjunction with advice from the HRBP
- Monitors and ensures that the annual appraisal and objective setting deadline is met
- Supports the HRBP with embedding the company behavioural competency framework locally
**Recruitment & Retention**
- Ensure that all Factory Operations vacancies are proactively managed (approvals, selection and offer) to ensure disruption to manufacturing as a result of manning is kept to a minimum
- Ensure accurate and timely offers and contracts are issued
- Write recruitment adverts and create detailed job profiles as requested
- Support the recruitment process for Hay graded roles in the plant as required
- Complete company induction for all new employees as part of an efficient and effective on boarding programme
- Ensure all employees receive timely and honest feedback during their monthly probationary review meetings and that all competence or conduct issues are managed within this period; escalating to the Plant HRBP where consideration is required to bring thecontract to an end.
- Ensure all leavers receive an exit interview in order to identify and document accurate reasons for leaving and opportunities for improvement either on a local or company wide basis
Learning & Development
- Undertake line manager briefing/training/workshops on both new processes and procedures and refreshers to ensure they are fully embedded into the business
- Complete the roll out of L&D initiatives as appropriate and necessary
Legal / Compliance
- In conjunction with the HR Business Partner, support and lead internal and external audits as required to support the Plant in achieving Blue audit status
EmEmployee Relations
- The site HR Advisor should be the first point of contact for all employee relation issues and have thorough knowledge and understanding of UK employment legislation
- In conjunction with the HRBP; work closely with line managers, providing them with advice, guidance and coaching in line with the company policies and procedures and employment terms and conditions of employment to ensure a consistent and fair approachis adopted at all times.
- Support the HRBP in maintaining positive relations with the Site SCC / Recognised Union (where applicable)
- Ensure that managers and staff are aware of the policies and procedures and able to operate them effectively; conducting briefing/training sessions as required.
General
- Ensure personal continued professional development is undertaken to keep abreast of latest legislative requirements
- Monitor specific budgets, for example - Training Budget, Staff Canteen Budget and Sports and Social Budget
- Support the Plant HRBP to ensure that employees receive accurate and timely communications
- Represent your plant HR Team and participate in various internal groups and committees as required.
- Provide KPI data to the Plant HRBP as required for the Plant Score Card.
- In addition, it will be a requirement to support cyclical projects such as Great Place to Work
- Ambassador of company behaviours, leading by example
