**Location - Hybrid - Whale Island - Portsmouth**
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is a central government department with a mission to protect our country and provide the ultimate guarantee of its security and independence, as well as helping to protect its values and interests abroad.
To do this we have an annual budget of almost £40 billion and a workforce comprising 193,000 people, almost 59,000 of whom are civilians. We currently manage more than £11 billion of spend every year.

MOD are looking for Commercial professionals to join a new function that sat in its discovery phase.
This function will enable and drive accelerated end-to-end acquisition of digital and innovative military capability in order to increase military advantage and value to Defence.
Their goal - Deliver the right idea, at the right time, to the right place.
**As a Commercial Officer your main responsibilities would be**:
- Sourcing digital and innovative solutions
- Supporting delivery teams in articulating required outcomes and key performance indicators that result in high-quality proposals from suppliers
- Negotiations of contracts that meet short terms goals, delivery value for money and enable smooth transition to operational capability at scale.
- Managing multiple stakeholder communities with differing agendas
**You’ll have relevant experience in**:
- Active SC/DV clearance
- End to end lifecycle experience
- Using agile procurement approaches
- Sourcing digital and innovation solutions
- Supporting delivery teams in articulating required outcomes and key performance indicators that result in high-quality proposals from suppliers
- Negotiation of contracts that meet short term goals, deliver value for money and enable smooth transition to operational capability at scale
- Management of multiple stakeholder communities with differing agendas
- Driving pace across stakeholder communities, maintaining focus on achieving goals within required timescales**_
